Post by: Rich Robinson on May 27, 2015, 09:47:20 AM
Below are the members of the Tennessee Congressional Delegation. I encourage you all to contact them concerning the decision that will be coming down from the US Forest Service about how we can or can not prospect on public lands. Remember "The Squeaking wheel gets the oil"

Rest assured they will be hearing from me.  As the owner of a new small business manufacturing prospecting equipment in Tennessee, 5 miles from the TN/GA line, I feel I must speak up.  Being in the start up phase means no employees or even tax revenue; however, that will change.  I'm sure it's just a drop in the bucket for the state.  I have spent over $5,000 in the state of Georgia just camping and prospecting in the last 3 years.  The only thing I use my pans for in Tennessee is to hold water and dog food.  I really hope to change that.
The one thing I can tell you... Starting a business is less confusing than dredging in TN.  Heck, even getting a concealed carry license is easier.

Rich, I would like to commend and thank you for all you've done.  You as well as the committee that stood up to the bullies.

Gave all of them a call.  Apparently they were aware of the message as they were aware of what I was communicating.

FYI - I am unable to attend any of the GPAA functions as I work on weekends.  Just in case some of ya think I dropped off the face of the earth.  Actually I spend at least one day during the week (year round) up on Coker - have the grey Blazer with the Wounded Warrior decal in the back window - hollar if you can find me.   ;)

Doublenotminer,
These rules can, and likely will, impact all of the National Forests in the East.  You can contact your US Representative, or Senators.
