Title: October Treasure Valley Outing Report
Post by: BigAl on October 28, 2015, 10:25:04 PM
We had a great weekend for mining gold and gems in the hills of North Carolina. There were seven of us in attendance including one guest (non chapter member). The usual suspects were in attendance including myself, Bryon Barner, Jeff Black, Mel, Richard, Brandon Sanders, and Randy. The property owner Richard was also in attendance with the group.

The weather was good, with Saturday being cloudy but warm and Sunday giving way to some sunshine and a high near 80 degrees! The water level was good and it wasn't too cold. Even though the turn out was low we collected several grams of fine North Carolina gold as a group and maybe 10-12 small Sapphires. We have discussed a Memorial day outing here again.

I am going to post some pictures to follow and a video when I get the time.

Another great video Al. Hate that I couldn't make this trip.... hopefully Richard will allow us to use his property again in the future. I have made it to 2 of the outings there and cant wait to go back again.
