Maybe you or one of our members who is good at this can do a demo at one of our chapter meetings. I think it would be fun to watch!

I think that would be a great idea, it could be a potential hobby for those of us who can't get to the creeks as much.

Looking good, Austin.

(I have caught you "napping" on the river while prospecting. LOL)

You are a very multi-talented young man. Keep up the great work.

See you on the creek or river!

Take care

Those look great!  Also look up on YouTube about using old  glass bottles for napping material.

Indians used all available materials to make points.  From glass / Flint ,chert to agate and quartz.
Some times there's some go materials alone the "railroad tracks"
I broke another spall today, this time Texas chert. My biggest problem is thinning the piece with an antler billet or hammerstone, I can't send large thinning flakes. My striking technique is probably wrong. Do you know where to get chert around here?

Do we have any Indians in the chapter?
I hear they are really good at making arrowheads!
If I tried I would probably nap my finger off.

Lol I am part Cherokee Indian. Anyone can knap, the only real caution about it is you will get cut, but the cuts are usually minor.
