We have an opportunity for a weekend outing at the Miller's property the weekend of the October meeting. We will need a head count of who is interested to make sure that we can make it viable.

The cost for the whole weekend will be $75 per person. There will be a graduated scale for day use. All equipment will be allowed. I will post more details on the graduated costs tomorrow.

If we can get enough people to do this then we (the Chapter) will subsidize the cost like we have for Treasure Valley.

If you are interested please post here so we can get a head count.

Due to rain moving in, we are going to cancel this event and reschedule it for the first of November.
This post is open to the general group.

The MIDDLE TENNESSEE PROSPECTORS will be going to Treasure Valley this weekend, Sept 13,14,15.

We have had some cancellations, so I would like to extend a open invitation to the Coker Creek Group.

We have 5 openings aval. Its 75.00 a head for the weekend, you can camp on site.

Dredging is allowed, Limited to 4 inch size. There is good gold in this area along with gemstones.

If you are interested in going, please contact me no later than Thursday of this week, so I can get you directions and information.

Contact me as follows. 615-830-6990 Phone, - Email

Thanks in advance

Daryl Thomas
Middle Tennessee Chapter President
Coker Creek Chapter Treasurer.

Thanks. I hope it cools down soon. The heat almost killed me, lol.

I am going to try another location next month. Who is interested? Maybe another creek,

If I can make it to the  meeting that day after a long work night, i'd be more than happy to head out for a bit with you Al
al this is the spot I went too...there is a pull of there and the bedrock with the bore holes is on the other side of the creek...I found about 8-10 colors in maybe 30 pans..but am wanting to get my gold hog stream sluice out there and maybe move more material...I'm far away from the park boundaries and this little pull off spot is a local swimming/fishing hole but I think with the sluice and a good days work a body could probably do decent
I have worked that area years ago. Most spots were difficult to find gold. One spot which had high bedrock about the water line had lots of bore holes. The bore holes had LOTS of lead and some gold.
