West Prong Little Pigeon River

Right near where Al took that picture is where I found my first TN gold in 1994, I think. Back then you could park right off the road, and just walk down to the river. Lots of HUGE crevices in this section of the river. If there is gold in the smaller crevices, there has to be some gold at the bottom of the HUGE crevices.

I also found that I would find some gold every year in some of the potholes that are above the normal river flow, but are covered at flood stage.

Creek is running high right now, I am up here for a week and wish the creek was down a bit, just up from the mill is a pull off and day use area

Right across from the Family Inn and Dixie Stampede. You will find gold all up and down the river.
