New dredge
« on: May 11, 2017, 07:46:29 PM »
Finally received my suction dredge.  It's a Gold buddy 1 1/2 inch.  They were back ordered on the 2 inch dredges because everyone in California is going for the flood gold.  This will do me just fine.  Thinking on going back to vein mountain for a couple of days to try it out.  Also have the mini high banker to try out.  Did get that engine working and it is good to go.  So now I have a dredge and high banker.

That's awesome.  I had a 2" I backpacked into places.   Go ahead and fill a backpack with weight and start hiking around to get used to it.  I remember hiking over a mile each way with it one day and found 3 specks of gold.  I can tell you, the soreness is related the amount of gold you find after hauling it :)

Not as much the destination as the journey. Just cane back from view mountain had a great trip, found more gold than I first thought now that I'm going thru cons.

I don't own a highbanker or dredge unfortunately. All the gold I find is with a pan and sucker tube. All I do is intelligently dig to find the best gold. This summer will be a blast for sure.
